When plasterboard is fixed to a wall or ceiling, the boards need to be joined to prevent any cracks appearing. This is a process known as ‘tape and jointing’ and the most common type of tape used is called scrim tape. 

Scrim tape is used to secure joints between plasterboard sheets and is all but essential to any plasterboarding project, joining your boards and providing a smooth finish. As FibaTape can be applied with minimal preparation it means the taping of joints is up to 30% quicker than using a standard paper joint tape.
